CLOSER : CASA VERDE TOO

Casa Verde is a chain of  food establishment in Cebu that means “Green House” in spanish. They have few branches now around the metro and the newest one is located at lower ground of SM Megamall and they named it Casa Verde Too.

The place has a nostalgic vibe inside and there’s a lot of American vintage interior surrounding the restaurant like posters, signage, etc.. As of now, they have these pay as you order system and if you will dine in here please have patience because the area was small and they can only cater limited number of customer and also this is one of the newest restaurant in the mall so the reservation list was kinda long.

The MENU was quite extensive but it was more on American Diner dishes. I’m kinda excited to order because one of my friend who already dine in at the UP Town Center branch raved about the restaurant famous ribs.

Victoria’s Secret Spaghetti (P188). I love SECRETS!! LOL!  First, I’m not a fan of any Spaghetti dish in general but honesty this one is kinda okay for me. I kinda like this one because of the meat sauce, the pasta was served with garlic bread and butter.

Best Sampler (P358). The platter includes their best starter dishes (Buffalo Wings, Bacon & Cheese Potato Skins and Golden Fried Cheese served with three dips). Honestly, I think these was kind of overpriced because of the amount of serving and the only dish in the platter that make me say “YASSS” is the buffalo wings, it was delicious, perfectly cooked  and it has good amount of spice. The fried cheese needed more cheese, because it taste like a fried dough roll in breadcrumbs and the potato skins cooked was okay.

Chicken-Fried Chicken (P238). I love the crispness of the buttered friend chicken fillet and the aroma of this dish, the size is enough to be share by two to three peeps. The mashed potato needs more flavor and gravy though

Brian’s Rib (P279). Casa Verde’s best seller as they called it. The serving can feed at least three people and for the price I must say it's a great catch and a mouthwatering recipe. The meat was very tender and the sweet sauce was delicious. This famous dish is served with a cup of rice and some side veggies. To all foodies, a MUST ORDER.

We also order a pitcher of Iced Tea (P150) for refreshment.

I loved that the people of Casa Verde decided to open a branch in Megamall, their food has its own hits and misses but one of my issue really is the colored plate, I can’t have an artsy picture of the food. LOL! Also, I hope they will have a waiter to get our order instead of lining up to the cashier. Overall a good dine in experience.
