Hello : MINCED MANILA

My sister invited me for a dinner last Sunday at this restaurant that I was so intrigued for months, it's because I always pass it every time I do have my banking errands. So guys the long wait is over for an update (LOL!), here's our dine in experience to this fancy little restaurant at Antipolo named Minced Manila.

The restaurant looks very cozy and vibrant, I loved the interior and how the table was set up. The different color of the plates is very exciting for us because we get to choose our favorite color. Haha! You need to bring a jacket when you dine in here, especially now that it’s December because the place was too cold.

We ordered Chicharon Rice (P170), Cream Dory Escabeche(P275) and Spicy Adobo Wings With Roasted Garlic Aioli (P280). We waited for about to 15-20 minutes before the food got served. And pretty awesome presentation of the dishes.

Chicharon Rice. I was disappointed when this was served to us, because it was just a garlic rice topped with sprinkled chicharon. The rice was okay while the chicharon was not crunchy at all. We should rather have the garlic rice instead.

Cream Dory Escabeche. The serving of this dish was big, it can feed a family of 4 to 5 members. LOL! The pan roasting cooked on the fish was great and it doesn’t taste your regular Cream Dory for my tastebuds at least, there is just no umay factor with the fish.The sweet sauce was just okay(I’m too biased with my mother take on this dish), and the pickled veggies compliments well with the cream dory.

Spicy Adobo Wings with Roasted Garlic Aioli. I liked the adobo wings, it was crispy, flavorful and I had a fun time munching it, with one problem only...it was not spicy, not spicy at all. So guys if we can scratch the spicy on the name of the dish please do it (just a suggestion). LOL! The roasted garlic was really good, it taste like a potato shoestring, it was a great side dish.

We also tried one of their desserts. Because I was a fond of Ice Cream, we choose Ensaymada at Sorbetes (P160).

Ensaymada at Sorbetes. It was a three-piece little ensaymada filled with Cheese and Ube Ice Cream. The buttery taste of the ensaymada really goes well with Ice Cream filling.By the way the chocolate sauce right there taste like "choco-choco".

Overall, our visit at Minced Manila was quite good. My sister was disappointed of the adobo wings because it was not spicy(and she was the one who pay our bill). I was quite amaze of the food presentation and the aura of the restaurant. I’m glad that Antipolo City has new food haven, looking forward for my next visit at this restaurant soon to taste their signature breakfast dishes.
