As a treat to my Team, because I’ll be leaving them. I invited them at Kapitolyo to try out one of the highest rated establishment there that offers delicious and budget friendly Mexican cuisine. Here’s my(our) experience at Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina.
Truth to be told, you need a lot of patience if you want to dine in this restaurant. The place was easily get crowded, thankfully only few people are on the waiting list. We waited for over thirty minutes before a table was available for us. Good thing we advanced order so that, they can served us and we can easily eat our foods.
BTW, here’s the Menu!!We ordered Beef Nachos (P180), Papi’s Fritas (P130,) Silantro’s Quesadillas (P160) and Silantro’s Paella Fajita Mix (P250).
Beef Nachos. Aaaaah I love this and truly a must order dish. Don’t leave the place without having a taste of their nachos. It was perfect! All of the toppings were spot on, the cooked on the beef really complimented well with the tomatoes, the melted cheese added flavor and the three dip makes this dish exceptional.
Papi’s Fritas. French Fries topped with melted cheese, tomatoes, herbs and spices and beef. The taste was like the same as Beef Nachos and the potatoes were cooked great.
Silantro’s Quesadillas. This was okay for me, only because I’m used seeing this dish very thin, it’s more like a shawarma. The fries for me is the one that stand out in this dish, crunchy but chewy when you start to munch it.
Silantro’s Paella Fajita Mix. Seafood Paella with chicken. Haha! Rice Mix was superb, the seafood were all cooked perfect, the chicken and the wrapper were tender. Overall, this was my favorite dish of the night!
